SRI Education conducts rigorous and equitable research, delivers technical assistance, and develops tools and assessments to promote improved outcomes for children.
Our mission is to reduce barriers, optimize outcomes, and ensure educational equity for all children, youth, and families.
Our work includes preparation of proposals, reports, presentations, workshop materials, journal submissions, and other documents that require formatting and production.
Our staff also need assistance with work-related purchases, travel, and scheduling of meetings, staff on-boarding and off-boarding, as well as timecards.
SRI Education is seeking an administrative assistant to provide a wide variety of supports to the research staff in the Menlo Park, CA and Arlington, VA offices, as well as satellite offices, in collaboration with others on our Administrative Support team.
In this role, you will be supporting 150 staff members - as a team of admins - there will be specific responsibilities in the group, but it is not a position that supports a particular individual.

Responsibilities:
This role at SRI is ideal for a dynamic and friendly, outgoing office administrator.
We are looking for someone who can field general staff questions of all kinds, manage schedules, and manage a high volume of emails, requests, and details that change daily.
We need you to come into the office at least 2 days every week, but up to 5 days per week, as the work may require.
Some work can be completed from home.
The successful candidate will be the primary in- office contact and coordinator for this research group.
Job responsibilities include:
Maintains, orders, and distributes office supplies.
Supports entry of purchase requisitions.
Provides logistic support for meetings and conferences.
Schedules and helps set-up in-person and virtual events, meetings, and interviews.
Supports new hire training and office set-up.
Assists with travel expense reimbursements.
Assists staff with the use of corporate online systems such as procurement, travel, and timecards.
Performs other routine administrative duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, and maintaining office equipment, paper, and electronic files for projects.
Use various software such as SharePoint, MS Outlook, and other collaboration related software.
Ranks priority order of incoming requests, with the ability to dynamically assess the needs as they arrive.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; at least 2-3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Capacity to support multiple tasks simultaneously and change focus as priorities shift through use of strong organizational skills.
Very strong understading of MS Outlook, including sorting and prioritizing a large volume of requests/emails Demonstrated ability to problem solve and ensure high quality work through attention to details and requirements.
Previous success supporting a large group Track record of success working remotely as well as in-person Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
Previous experience and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat and the desire to learn new software skills.

Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
