We are looking for kind, compassionate mammography technologists who want to be part of a collaborative team and provide exceptional care and service to our patients and referring providers.
Under general supervision performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
This includes operating equipment and imaging software in the areas of x-ray, mammography and DEXA bone density scans.

Patient Care a.
Performs specialized and routine diagnostic procedures.
b.
Exhibiting a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise, explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
d.
Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
e.
Determines imaging acquisition factors based on height, weight, portion of body involved, and patients' ability to cooperate.
f.
Moves imaging equipment into specified position.
g.
Adjusts equipment controls to set optimal factors for producing images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
h.
Practices radiation protection, universal precautions, and proper sterilization techniques.
i.
Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care Imaging Supervisor Support a.
Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs/adjustments on diagnostic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
b.
Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
c.
Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
d.
Assists radiologists and other qualified physicians with diagnostic examinations.
e.
Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
All other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilities (1, 2):

Performs other duties as assigned and participates in organization projects as assigned.
b.
Adheres to safety, P4P's (if applicable), HIPAA and compliance policies.
MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Qualifications High School Diploma/GED, required CRT State license:
(RT) required, (M) preferred Acceptable Other Specialty Certifications:
ARRT (RT), (M), (BD), RDMS Licenses and Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support, required Experience 3 years of experience or more, with at least 1 year of certification in Mammography Specialty Multi-modality radiologic technologist with specialty of mammography, and general radiography (no fluoroscopy exams performed at Menlo Medical Clinic).
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES Team-player, multi-modality technologists; with primary specialty of mammography, and general x-ray.
DEXA bone density experience preferred, but not required.
Ability and willingness to cross-train in DEXA bone density.
Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Competent professional, technical, and customer service skills as determined to be adequate by the site Manager.
Must have superior patient care and communication skills to effectively present information to individuals and groups with high degree of Imaging services knowledge.
Ability to perform all general diagnostic and routine duties on patients of all ages as determined by the employer.
Knowledge, Organizational and multi-tasking skills for modalities (i.
e.
, staff and patient schedule review, supply management, reviewing and updating protocols, equipment QC, PACS, PACSGear, and cloud-sharing use and management.
) Plan, organize, and present information to engage and knowledge share with the imaging team.
Ability to anticipate and solve problems for smooth interdisciplinary operations.
Must possess adequate computer skills to navigate in electronic medical records system, digital systems and peripheral equipment.
Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative and collaborative manner.
Requires concentration to handle varying procedures and interruptions.
