The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for the entire front desk functions to include answering phones, scheduling appointments, performing insurance verification and authorizations, checking patients in and out and data entry.
Candidates interested in learning ophthalmologic testing procedures are encourage to apply.
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of medical front office experience.
Must have knowledge of insurance and referral process.
Must be able to obtaining insurance authorizations.
Must have a good command of medical terminology.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
Must be able to work independently, perform well under pressure and adapt to change.
Must be computer literate and able to type accurately.
EMR experience is a plus.
