Lead Counsel, Privacy (Instagram)

Meta is seeking a talented attorney to work on Instagram s Privacy Legal team and advise the company on a range of privacy and data protection-related legal initiatives.
This role is product-focused and will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to build products with a privacy-forward design.
This will involve learning about new and modified features for Instagram products, identifying and investigating key design elements, coordinating with subject matter experts and regional counsel, and providing practical, actionable advice under global privacy laws.
Lead Counsel, Privacy (Instagram) ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain subject matter expertise in areas of data privacy and protection laws (including state and federal consumer protection and privacy laws, GDPR, and other global privacy laws)Work closely with product counsel and product teams to guide privacy-forward product development and evaluate the impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance and enforcement actionsDrive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis and compliance with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta s business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other departmentsDevelop regulatory strategy with global privacy regulators in connection with new product features and initiatives and maintain Meta s ongoing privacy-by-design processesHelp to develop and conduct general and role-specific privacy trainings across MetaParticipate in internal privacy compliance programs and processes to ensure we meet our obligations under those programsMinimum QualificationsJ.
