Business Operations Lead, Instagram
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Menlo Park, CA area.
Our client is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, and creative Business Operations Lead. This position will focus on forecasting and analyzing Instagram's revenue for the advertising business as well as helping shape its go-to-market strategy. The role is highly cross-functional and partner facing, involving coordination across a number of groups within our client and Instagram. These include sales, marketing, product, engineering, data analytics, and business intelligence. This role will challenge the candidate to both understand and contribute to many facets of a new and rapidly growing product, including revenue forecasting, analytics, and strategic decision support.
Responsibilities will revolve around driving revenue planning, developing actionable insights for the business, and influencing decision makers on the ads team both internally and externally to enable revenue growth. This team's focus on analysis and data-driven decision-making allows us to work effectively with our colleagues in the rest of the business in order to optimize long-term financial growth. Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the internet/tech and media ecosystem, exceptional analytical skills, bias toward action, exceptional partnering and communication skills, and the know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.
Responsibilities
o Conduct revenue analysis to identify trends and factors of growth
o Strategically evaluate new market opportunities
o Create new metrics to evaluate the business
o Use data to build insights about our advertisers
o Ownership of reporting to provide insights about user growth, trends, and advertising revenue
o Financial planning responsibilities focused on forecasting and budgeting
o Work cross-functionally with other business groups
Requirements
o BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or related discipline
o 5
years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics or planning
o Experienced in strategy consulting with a focus on technology or media is highly desirable
o Professional experience using SQL
o Experienced in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
o Able to synthesize strategic insights and problem-solve individually or in a group setting understanding key financial drivers of the business
o Able to shift priorities quickly while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
o Highly motivated, hard-working, and able to think clearly under pressure
o Passionate about Instagram
