Participate in the design, implementation and ongoing management of major site applications and subsystems. Own back-end services like our Hadoop data warehouses, front-end services like Chat and Newsfeed, infrastructure components like our Memcache infrastructure, and everything in between. Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug difficult problems live, on some of the largest and most complex systems in the world. Work together with your relevant engineering teams, sharing an on-call rotation that is backed by our 24x7 site reliability operations (SRO) team. Implement automation for your services to make sure theyre healthy, reliable and can be operated effectively in Facebooks complicated environment. Use your understanding of tools and services built internally to help the engineering teams build large services that leverage Facebooks infrastructure or create new ones to solve complicated problems.
Employer will accept a Masters degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer related occupation.
