BI Engineer (People Analytics) - Tableau
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Menlo Park, CA area.
We are seeking an experienced BI Engineer to join the People Analytics team and participate in the design and development of creative and innovative BI/Analytic solutions from the data coming from various custom systems and databases.
o Drive sessions with business users to translate requirements and needs of various business units
o Help analyze, visualize, and provide analytics on data to build reporting solutions to support various company initiatives
o Support project development life cycles through data modeling, reporting and analytics
o Participate in the on-going development of the business intelligence and data warehousing functions within the wider organization
o Create training materials to guide business users on how to use dashboards
o Work with a variety of tools pertaining to database and reporting
o Use Tableau as the primary reporting solution
o Build rich and dynamic dashboards using out-of-box features, customizations, and visualizations
o Participate in the creation and support of BI development standards and best practices
o Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance BI landscape components
o Automate solutions where appropriate
o Bachelor's in Computer Science, Business, Business Administration, or closely-related, or foreign equivalent
o At least 5 years of business intelligence and data warehouse experience, at least two years of which is in Tableau
o At least 2 years experience with Oracle RDBMS (SQL/PLSQL) and MySQL
o Expertise around database programming and performance tuning techniques
o Prefer a candidate with Web development experience, including
o JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and general visualization principles Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
