Facebooks legal department works to develop practices and procedures that ensure the personal information of our users is safe, secure, and used in accordance with their sharing settings and choices. The Data Protection/Privacy Project Manager: examines, evaluates and investigates conformity with key regulatory data protection requirements, and performs other compliance and enforcement inspection and analysis activities. Ensures that key regulatory data protection requirements are considered and implemented during the product development process. Establishes, documents, and audits data retention periods, user access to data (e.g., DYI, activity log), and uses of data. Provides ongoing maintenance and improvement of Facebooks Data Privacy program and independent assessments. Monitors incoming data protection and privacy inquiries from users, industry, and regulators. In coordination with the Director and Associate General Counsel, Privacy, works on projects related to ongoing compliance with the FTC Consent Order and related requirements, including the in-house independent verification of Facebooks Safe Harbor certification, providing comprehensive awareness and training for all employees appropriate to their job functions, and screening and contractual obligations for service providers.
Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Legal Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, Government Affairs or related field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a user operations analyst, management analyst or operations related occupation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
