Perform research on available data using appropriate statistical techniques, including methodology and knowledge from the social sciences and large-scale data analysis techniques. Help solve analytical problems using survey based and quantitative approaches. Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources and identify and answer questions that help Facebook build the best products and software. Work closely with a product engineering team to identify and answer important product questions driving the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources. Develop and implement novel algorithms and systems to improve products and data analysis. Develop best practices for data collection, data analysis, and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering team.
Employer will accept a Masters degree in Survey Research, Sociology, Statistics or related field and 6 months of work experience in job offered or in a data scientist-related occupation.
