The Network Engineer position
Responsibilities:
- Identify network inefficiencies as well as provide innovative and bold solutions.
- Quickly adapt to the rapidly growing network.
- Identify and automate all repetitive tasks.
- Develop networks that can scale to support the company's massive user base.
- Collaborate with the Engineers throughout the Facebook in order to create the most scalable designs.
Requirements
Required experiences and skills for the Network Engineer position:
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Expertise in TCP, IP v4 v6 highly desired.
- Solid understanding of network hardware platforms.
- Experience in SP or content environments.
- Solid familiarity with Linux.
- Proficient knowledge of FHRP operation.
- Previous experience troubleshooting stateful packet flows and common network protocol operation.
- Ability to take part in a regular on-call rotation.
- Prior experience with load-balances.
