Administrative Specialist

The complexity and multidimensional aspects of Domiciliary Service requires the incumbent to have an overall knowledge of the organization, its mission, goals and impact on patients, personnel, community and the nation. The role of the incumbent is to assist the Chief to fulfill the outreach, clinical, research, and teaching missions of this complex service, with the principle objective of optimal utilization of staff, space, equipment, and operating funds. Incumbent serves as resource person on all questions regarding the services provided by Domiciliary Service; questions from within the Service, this health care system, other external institutions, local government agencies, community non-profits and individuals. The incumbent processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memorandum and requests for computer access. He/she edits and composes letters and reports, and reviews correspondence for accuracy and completeness. The incumbent helps coordinate appointments, meetings, conference and distributes related information. The incumbent coordinates all telework requests and renewals for Domiciliary Service employees. The incumbent helps with drafting the meeting minutes as required. The incumbent assists in coordination of annual Open House and program retreats. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
