RN - Nurse Manager (Outpatient and Specialty Programs)

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8am - 4:
30pm); with flexibility to meet patient and program needs. The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for delivery of quality care, including outcome data from nurse sensitive indicators, appropriate documentation of clinical competence through role modeling and on-going role delineation assessment and continuous Quality Improvement Projects. Responsible for the provision of staffing, physical facilities, supplies and equipment for nursing services to patients. Responsible for identifying and promoting staff development and enhancing staff competencies. Collaborates with the Mental Health Interdisciplinary Team, Chief of Mental Health, and other services for program development, quality care and resource planning. Demonstrates skills and knowledge in critical thinking, problem solving collaboration. BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
United States Citizenship. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency, and accredited by the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) which changed to the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) at the time the program was completed; OR the completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005/27, Appendix G6). OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration (i.e., licensure) as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or the District of Columbia. In addition to the basic requirements, the following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience. Current BLS provider card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN). Two (2) or more years of Mental Health RN experience. National certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (RN-BC) or Nursing Administration or willing to obtain within two years of employment. Master's Degree in Nursing. Experience in dealing with complex interpersonal situations. Previous RN management experience. National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
