Not required The incumbent answers telephone calls and records messages pertaining to such things as scheduling and confirming telehealth appointments. Recognizes and refers urgent issues to the Caregiver Support RN staff or CSC RN for immediate action. Shows courtesy, respect, and a positive attitude towards Veterans/Caregivers, co-workers and the public at all times. Provides front-line assistance to Veterans/Caregivers with questions or concerns. Applies discernment and sensitivity when performing required tasks, resolving issues accurately and timely. Facilitates necessary follow-up to ensure satisfactory resolution. Processes administrative consults and ensures Veterans/Caregivers Telehealth VMR appointments are scheduled timely. Refines scheduling processes and training for Telehealth clinics. Serves as a subject matter expert regarding Telehealth VRM scheduling set up and practices. And Point of Contact with Telehealth Coordinator, Menlo Park Division. Duties include but are limited to the following:
Arranges/schedules appointments for Veterans/Caregivers with assigned CS-RN respective telehealth clinics, coordinates appointments for timeliness to avoid conflicts in RN and Veteran telehealth clinics. The PSA also manages daily appointment list which requires scheduling, cancelling, or no-show appointments. Reviews CS- RNs schedules daily and updates schedule to ensure both assigned CS-RN and Veteran/Caregiver schedules match. Monitors the Telehealth clinics in accordance with VHA National Scheduling Directive guidelines. Including the Electronic Wait List (EWL) which requires entry, deletion and scrubbing the lists daily. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/29/2020. Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Working independently on ongoing projects and continually updating and analyzing records for the purpose of providing accurate and timely information. Extracting data from various database systems to prepare reports and provide statistical information. Providing a wide range of administrative support to staff within a program. Communicating with veterans, program staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate program related services. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
