Monitoring, Ticketing, Alert Response, Break/Fix:
Monitor infrastructure using monitoring systemsMonitor ticketing queue, work tickets to resolutionCreate trouble tickets when not generated by automation, and work tickets to resolutionCoordinate hardware break/fix activities with local staff - DC Techs, Field IT, and/or Smart Hands where applicableCreate vendor service request (SR) and collect diagnostic information as neededOperations including but not limited to:
Candidates must have extensive experience with Linux (Centos) and NFS (Network File System).
Provision hypervisors on servers and create clustersConfigure datastores, filesystems, mount volumesConfigure server, cluster, and VM networkingConfigure and/or update VM settingsDeploy software and firmware updatesWork change tickets and execute during change windowsLogical decommissioning of clusters and serversEscalate and communicate as per standard operating proceduresDocumentation:
Maintain documentation and update as neededWork with team to keep documentation related to the above areas maintainedWork with the engineering team to perform a monthly audit verifying documentation is currentPerform project work including but not limited to:
Server / cluster deployments involving complex and/or custom requirementsTesting, validation, and deployment of new server hardware, firmware, hypervisor softwarePerformance Monitoring and Analysis:
Performance analysis of overall server virtualization environmentTroubleshooting and Break/Fix:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by L1 teamEscalate to Engineering team and/or Vendor if requiredIdentify repeat issues and trends, work with engineering to scope monitoring and/or automation to prevent or auto-remediate problemsVendor Service Request lifecycle management:
Daily follow-ups for all open Service RequestsWork with vendor(s) to resolve Service RequestsProvide a weekly summary of all active (opened/ongoing/closed) Service Requests for the periodParticipate in weekly on-call rotation:
Respond to critical alerts and alarms outside regular office hoursTriage and resolve issuesEscalate to engineering or other teams per escalation processes.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
